American Fleet Alliance and Distance Brothers: A Partnership Built to Move Forward

American Fleet Alliance was built around a straightforward idea: connect organizations that need transportation with operators who can deliver it.

Our work with Distance Brothers Transportation Services is an important step in putting that idea into practice. Together, we have reached a milestone through AFA's first government transportation contract with Texas A&M University.

For us, this represents more than a contract award. It shows the value of bringing two companies together with clear responsibilities and a shared purpose.

Different strengths. One coordinated effort.

AFA serves as the contract-facing company, coordinating requirements, customer communication and the operating subcontractor relationship. Distance Brothers provides the buses, drivers, dispatch and transportation operations within its agreed scope.

Each company brings a distinct contribution. AFA focuses on developing the opportunity and keeping the contract coordination organized. Distance Brothers brings the operating resources needed to perform the transportation service.

That division of responsibilities is the foundation of the arrangement.

An important milestone for AFA

Reaching this point has taken persistence: learning procurement processes, preparing documentation, building relationships and working through the details that come before a transportation award.

The Texas A&M University contract gives us an opportunity to build on that work with an operating partner beside us. It also reinforces the direction we want to take AFA: build strong relationships, pursue suitable opportunities and coordinate the right resources around each customer's requirements.

We appreciate Drew Anderwald and the Distance Brothers team for working with us to reach this milestone. We look forward to the work ahead.

Why operator partnerships matter

An organization planning group transportation needs a service arrangement that fits its schedule, passenger requirements and procurement process. An operator needs clear information about the requested work, pricing and responsibilities before committing equipment and drivers.

AFA's role is to help bring those conversations together. Strong coordination starts before the trip, with an agreed scope and a clear understanding of who is responsible for what.

Our relationship with Distance Brothers is an example of the kind of collaboration we want to develop across the transportation industry.

Building more relationships in DFW and across Texas

We are looking to connect with established charter bus, motorcoach, shuttle and passenger transportation operators who want to explore government, university and commercial transportation opportunities.

If your company has the equipment, team and service standards to support those opportunities, we would like to learn about your operation.

And if your organization needs transportation coordination, AFA is ready to discuss the requirements and help identify the next steps.
